Why do you support Green Newton?
I support Green Newton because I understand how important the environment is. I understand the state of the planet and believe that climate action is necessary.
What Green Newton Initiatives do you most appreciate?
I appreciate the library programs that Green Newton ran. I also greatly appreciate the newsletter, as it showcases information that I don’t think people would come across otherwise. It has helped me find out about practical environmental actions and lifestyle changes.
How have you retrofitted your home?
I had heat pumps installed, and have done a lot of insulation myself. I made sure my windows were all properly insulated without air leaks.
Why did you commit to these changes?
The transition to green technologies is necessary, so it made a lot of sense to commit. Beyond the environmental impact of less carbon emissions, a large part of the motivation for me was comfort. I am able to rest easier in a home that is more optimized with better temperature control.
