We are 100 signatures short of 1000! We have 20 out of 24 councilors, our three state reps, a state senator, and 13 organizations on board! The Mayor needs to hear from you about your support for at least 40% more than the state mandate of New England, Class 1 renewable electricity sources in the STANDARD OPTION of our first Newton Power Choice community bulk electricity contract.
This is a “choice” contract – the state legislation is ‘all in unless you opt out, opt down, or opt up to 100%; Experience tells us most people will stay with the STANDARD OPTION, so a high percent of renewable content here, with clear guidelines for Class 1 required by the state, will have the most impact by far.
