On Thursday, July 25 at 6pm, the MBTA and MassDOT are holding a public meeting in the Druker Auditorium of the Newton Free Library (330 Homer St., Newton) to discuss the Newton Stations Accessibility improvements project. The project aims to provide new, fully-accessible (ADA/MAAB Compliant) platforms for three existing MBTA Worcester line commuter rail stations in Newton (Auburndale, West Newton, and Newtonville) and includes accessible paths between the station and public access points or to accessible parking spaces where possible. Associated track and signal updates will also take place.
