Green Newton is excited to host our annual Environmental Leadership Celebration – October 4th — a night dedicated to honoring the passionate individuals who are making a difference in our community’s fight against climate change.
We need your help to make it a success!
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team in organizing and running this inspiring event. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to sustainability work, your time and energy can help make this celebration memorable.

- logistics
- waste management
- tech support
- decoration
- silent auction
- program development
- social media support
Date of Event: October 4, 2025
Location: American Legion Post 440 (295 California St, Newton, MA 02458)
Time Commitment: Bi-weekly planning meetings and, depending on your role, an additional 2 to 5 hours a month.
By volunteering, you’ll connect with like-minded individuals, gain hands-on experience in event organizing, and contribute directly to our mission of building a greener, more sustainable Newton.
