Wednesday, May 14, 11am. Boston Common.
Our regional electric grid operator, ISO-NE, is failing when it comes to governing with accessibility, transparency, and accountability. The result is a grid system that is slow to transition to renewable energy, that is unresponsive to the needs of impacted communities, and that is contributing to higher electric bills.
Join Fix the Grid on the Boston Common to demonstrate that the people want reforms. After a rally on the Common near the statehouse, we’ll walk to 100 Cambridge Street to deliver our demands to state offices and ask our state leaders to push for critical reforms.
What do ISO-NE’s bad governance practices mean for us?
- A slow-walking of the transition to clean energy
- Higher electric bills through over-reliance on fossil fuels
- Board meetings and decision making that happen behind closed doors
- No language access for impacted communities
We can’t afford to have a grid operator that keeps failing to serve the public interest. That’s why we’re asking our state leaders to push for the renewable, affordable, and resilient electric grid we deserve. Bring your friends and join the rally!
