The Newton Democratic City Committee’s Climate Crisis Subcommittee is sponsoring an Earth Day rally to bring awareness to the urgency of climate change and our need for action. Come individually or with your organization, and bring signs or banners with your climate messages. All are welcome. Representative Jake Auchincloss and State Senator Cynthia Creem will be speaking, and Mayor Ruthanne Fuller has also been invited to speak. See more information.
Ring Out for Climate! – Also, if you are connected to a church that has a bell tower, please ask for the bells to be rung for 11 minutes at 11am to signal that we are well within the 11th hour for acting on climate change.
