Bike Newton aims to promote bicycling as a viable method of transportation in Newton in the belief that bicycling should be safe and convenient for all. A nice ride along the Charles River and Western Ave to the Middle East Corner Bar in hip Central Square Cambridge for jazz lunch – American or Middle Eastern – $8-10, while being entertained by the Nate & Dave Dynamic Duo (Nate can’t lead this ride ’cause he’s on stage!) Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St, in Newtonville, and we’ll leave promptly at 12 noon.   [link]

Join Mothers Out Front & Bike Newton on Sunday June 11 for a ride through Newton’s scenic neighborhoods and see firsthand what happens to trees near gas leaks. Learn more about the harmful effects of methane on tree health, and show your support for a healthier Garden City and greener world. Meet in Newton Centre on the Green across from Panera Bread at 10am. The ride will last approximately 2 hours.
