The City of Newton is asking for feedback from residents to better inform their implementation-focused Bicycle and Pedestrian Network Plan through May 8, 2023. The plan will strategically recommend investments over a 5-year timeframe to ensure the walking and biking networks in Newton are safe and accessible for all ages and abilities.

The city wants to hear from you. Please review the four maps on the City of Newton Bicycle/Pedestrian Network Plan webpage  and answer the questions for each to share your experiences with the project team. You will also be asked a few pieces of demographic information.

  • What are your most frequent destinations?
  • What are your preferred transit and micromobility hubs?
  • What/where are the challenges to walking and biking in Newton?

Contact bikepedplan@newtonma.gov with any questions.

If you would like to ask questions or complete the feedback in person, Councilor Alicia Bowman will have a map and QR codes at the Newton Earth Day Festival at City Hall on Sunday, April 23 from 12-4pm.
