The City of Newton recently announced an extension of HeatSmart Newton, our program to promote efficient heat pump technology for heating, cooling, and hot water. The program has been extended through 2021. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (CEC) and the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) will continue to work with the City of Newton to manage the program.

City-vetted installers, New England Ductless and Muirfield Mechanical, have helped over 75 Newton households update heating, cooling, and hot water systems. They will continue to offer group pricing and free in-home assessments. For more information about this program visit the new HeatSmart Newton website or email our HeatSmart coach at heatsmartnewton@gmail.com.
