Join Green Newton on Monday, May 21 at 7pm in the Druker Auditorium of the Newton Free Library (330 Homer St., Newton) for the ‘2018 Green Submarine Tour de Newton! & Leadership Awards’.
Produced and hosted by Students for a Greener World (SGW), students from Newton schools come together to show how they’re helping the environment through projects such as:
- Peirce Elementary’s Outdoor Classroom/Garden;
- Underwood Elementary’s Recycling & Composting Green Machine;
- Newton South’s Marine Biology Shark Team;
- Newton North’s Nicaragua Ecology Trip;
- SGW’s community outreach.
SGW will also present the 2018 Wild Boar Awards, and following the students will be the presentation of the Annual Green Newton Environmental Leadership awards to an individual, local organization and Newton business.
