Great news from the Mass Climate Action Network! Bills aimed at making the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) better will get a hearing in September at the State House. Massachusetts’ Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard was one of the first programs in the nation that required a certain percentage of the state’s electricity to come from renewable energy. Green Newton showed our support by signing a letter to increase the RPS more each year and get us to 50% clean energy by 2030.
