Recently, a new statewide coalition of more than 90 organizations–Mass Power Forward–launched to support an energy policy for Massachusetts that will ensure a transition away from aging fossil fuel plants and allow communities across the Commonwealth to tap into the environmental and economic benefits of locally generated, clean renewable energy sources. Green Newton is happy to be a member of this coalition.
Mass Power Forward has a vision for a clean and just energy transition in Massachusetts. We support local renewable energy resources, keeping energy dollars in our communities, creating good green jobs, and protecting our Commonwealth from climate change and life-threatening pollution.
