Tip of the Week: Got Unused Latex Paint? Bring Cans for Recycling on April 22

Saturday, April 22. Newton Resource Recovery Center (115 Rumford Ave., Auburndale).

Do you have unused latex paint in reusable condition? Bring your cans to be recycled into new paint. Appointments can be scheduled by calling Customer Service at (617) 796-1000, Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 5pm.

For this event:

  • The city will only be collecting latex paint. No other oil-based paint or other chemicals will be accepted.
  • Please put dried up latex paint into your trash cart.
  • Usable latex paint will be recycled into new paint.
  • There is a limit of 30 gallons per car.
  • 5 gallon containers are accepted.
  • This event is for residential paint ONLY, no commercial vehicles or commercially-sourced paint will be accepted.
