On December 16, Green Newton public transportation advocates, Lucia Dolan, Jim Purdy, and Marcia Cooper were joined by City Councilor-Elect Alicia Bowman at the Newton Center T stop for a ‘Pop-Up, Light-Up’ event. Fifty pedestrian lights were distributed for free to commuters to increase their safety while walking home in the dark.
