Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic?

Film ‘Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic?’ at Wellesley Public Library on April 28

‘Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic?’ (2010; 74 minutes) is a documentary film exposing the effects of plastic bags and other plastic consumer merchandise on land ecosystems, the marine environment and the human body.  Americans use 60,000 plastic bags every five minutes-single-use disposable bags that we mindlessly throw away. But where is ‘away?’ Where do the bags and other plastics end up, and at what cost to our environment, marine life and human health? Bag It follows ‘everyman’ Jeb Berrier as he navigates our plastic world. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be offered. This program is co-sponsored by Wellesley Friends of Recycling and the Wellelsey Free Library. For more information click go to the Sustainable Wellesley website
