Webinar ‘Home Composting for Zero Waste’
April 20 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
You can reduce your trash to practically zero if you compost, reduce, reuse, and recycle!
On Tuesday, April 20 at 7pm join Ann McGovern, home composting coordinator at Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, to learn everything you have ever wanted to know about composting.
Home composting is easier than people might think. Most of the work is done by nature’s composting work force (decomposers). All we have to do is feed them our food scraps and yard waste, give them air, water, and a place to live, and they’ll do the hard work of converting our “garbage” into “black gold” for our gardens. Compost can restore life to soil and help plants thrive.
You must register in advance for this event.
MassDEP’s Recycle Smart MA statewide initiative seeks to eliminate contamination, especially plastic bags, from household recycling.
