Commentary: Why Don’t Environmentalists Vote?

Approximately 20.1 million environmentalists are registered to vote, but in the 2014 mid-term elections, only 4.2 million of them voted, and in the 2012 presidential election barely 10 million of them voted. Nathaniel Stinnett, founder and CEO of the Environmental Voter Project, addresses the lack of voter participation among environmentalists.
