Natural hazards can have serious impacts on the City of Newton and its residents and businesses. The City of Newton is preparing a Hazard Mitigation Plan to help the city reduce its vulnerability to natural hazard events such as flooding, hurricanes, and winter storms. Please join the City for a public presentation of the Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan at a meeting of the Zoning and Planning Committee on Monday, May 13 at 7pm at Newton City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Ave., Newton). Questions and comments from the public are welcome at the meeting or afterwards until May 27, 2019.
