Since 2022, the United Nations has been negotiating an international treaty on plastic pollution. It’s a big deal. And in just a few weeks, the fifth and final round of negotiations are set to conclude at INC-5 (Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee) in Busan, South Korea as delegates from across the globe meet from November 25 to December 1.

We’re already seeing delegates and representatives increasingly willing to compromise, settle for vague treaty language, or consider postponements. Tell your leaders: this is not the time to waver!

Big Plastic is feeling the heat. Plastic lobbyists are nervous that the treaty might limit plastic production. In a webinar they hosted, they even claimed that their industry is being unfairly “picked on.” Let’s keep the pressure on. Sign the petition.
