On July 28, Auburndale Builders presented a virtual tour of an existing Newton home being remodeled for accessibility (adding an elevator) and reducing energy use dramatically to the PHIUS Passive House retrofit standard. Auburndale’s Project Manager for the job and the project architect, Richard Lo of Kaplan Thompson Architects, walked participants through the home under construction, showing its unique features.
