2020 may have been interrupted by COVID-19, but kudos to Newton’s Sustainable Material Management Division for keeping our waste collection and diversion going smoothly. With landfill space running out in New England, the cost of waste disposal will continue for rise in the future. Buying less and diverting more waste to recycling and composting will help keep costs down and our city more sustainable.
