4C Tree Project

Thanks to the contribution of hundreds of donors, we were able to order the first 170 trees and are ready to plant! Help us honor our neighbors and loved ones lost to the pandemic at this tree memorial dedication ceremony at 2pm on Saturday, May 1 in front of the Mason Rice School (149 Pleasant Street, Newton Centre).

In compliance with Massachusetts COVID-19 guidelines, face coverings are required and attendees must maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance whenever possible. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping everyone healthy and safe.

The 4C Tree Project aims to honor the memory of lives lost to COVID-19 by celebrating life through the planting of trees in public spaces in Newton. Spearheaded by Green Newton’s Environmental Youth Leadership Program, the Capture Carbon Commemorate COVID-19 Tree Project (4C Tree Project) hopes to demonstrate the resilience of our City through difficult times and its commitment to a healthy ecosystem.
